Let's Get Sketchy #10

Loved this week's sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.  This is sketch #10 and I rotated it clockwise.  We had really thought the winter blizzards in Oklahoma in Jan/Feb 2011 had killed our crepe myrtle, in our front yard, because it was above the snow line and looked awful.  But it survived to bloom in the Spring!

 Pattern paper is from SEI; green dot pattern is Amy Tan/AC; sticker letters are from Studio Calico; green gems are Kaiser Craft; and washi tape is also from Studio Calico.  TFL!

This layout got on the watch list at CSI:Color, Stories, Inspiration last month.  TFL.

In honor of National Scrapbook Day, my first post. . .

I discovered this photo after my mom passed away, in some boxes my father gave me. Like the journaling says, there are no markings on the back, and it's not glossy, so not sure how it was acquired! But I loved it. I sanded the star paper, and used paint to bring out the title a bit. (pattern paper and paint is from Jenni Bowlin, title stickers are American Crafts. Inspiration came from May Flaum on a recent post on the JBS blog.
